Journey to north east
SIKKIM ; TO THE NORTH EAST
Journey to India’s
first organic state Sikkim was always there in my mind. Now moving to
the place of dramatic landscape . broadly Sikkim is known for kangchenjonnga ,
home to glaciers , alpine meadows and thousands of verities of wildflowers.
After reaching Gangtok
the capital city of Sikkim arranged my stay and get out of the room to
see the busy city . walking by the sides of MG road is joyful. Looked
around and tried to capture all views of the town. On the side of the road the
Bakers café cached my attention and I get into the shop to have something
particular to Sikkim . The beauty of MG road can be enjoyed from the café .the
night at the Gangtok IS SO cold . The dinner at the Tashi delek rooftop garden
was so nice .
In the next morning , went to Banjhakiri falls . it’s a
travel destination place for the one who have to touch the nature directly . The
water lasing into the valley and sound
of water gives a mesmerising mood to the travels . The lunch evergreen beauty
of the place catches the mind and it’s a
place where we can hear the sound of nature .
Next place to visit is the Gonjang monastery . a place surrounded
by hills. The rays of sun reached there by reflecting from the hills . A unique
style of architecture found there is very enthusiastic .Its actually the
Tibetan style Buddhist monastery. Looking to the far long places from the
monastery is a great experience. The shelters shattered here and there is the
view from the monastery . The whole city of Gangtok can be seen from here .The
alpine meadows and rhododendron flowers are very beautiful. Every region have
some kind of animals ,birds and flowers.
Next place is
Tashi view point . this whole day was travelling . come to see the sun set from
the top of the mountain. I simply looked the sunset and gave a good bye to the
sun . Kanjanjonga can be seen from this view point. The setting sun have made
the mountain yellowish red colour . This
adorns the wide snows into more reflective and I captured the wonderful photos
and backed to my hotel.
For reaching Guru dongmar lake I have to first go to
north Sikkim. Reaching north Sikkim is
not that much easy certain travel permissions have to be taken . after all
these I some how reached there . The foggy morning of north Sikkim is very
attractive . The snowy valley and trees that stayed white in the morning.
Passing over the bridge over the fastest river Teesta and the two sides were
full of snowy wind dazzling over and over . Getting closer and closer to
unbearable cold climate . The trees where having leaves other than red. The
pattern of rock and whole the topography was having a wide range of verity as
well. On the way to the lake we can see worlds highest cafe run by Indian army
. partially snow covered Guru Dongmar
lake is India’s highest altitude lake 17.800FT. the lake was surrounded by snow
covered mountain. The water in the lake was very clear .
Travelling to the
places of mystery and adventure is always my passion and its going on.
Wow, fantastic explanation, keep it up👍
